Only version 4.5 of ALOGIT is available now but send a mail to info@alogit.com if you need help with older versions. The points below may help in the first instance.
ALOGIT 3.2 was introduced in July 1992 and we cannot remember much about versions before that (although 3.1 was quite like 3.2). Version 3.2 is a DOS program and will therefore run on almost any PC, but has size limitations in consequence. It will deal only with problems up to 125 coefficients (with corresponding limitations in the numbers of alternatives and other problem dimensions).
ALOGIT 3.8 was current from 1995 to 2000. 3.8 and the associated program MEGALO use ‘extenders’ to get round the size limits of DOS, but will run only on 16-bit operating systems such as DOS, Windows 3.x and Windows 95. They will deal with quite large problems.
ALOGIT 4, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 , 4.EC, 4.3 and 4.3EC were introduced from 2000 and are quite like the current version 4.5 These versions introduce a new and much improved control file and data storage. They run on 32 and 64-bit operating systems under all known modern versions of Windows. They have effectively no size limits.
